To ASG, She’s ‘Perfect’

Anthony ‘ASG’ Grant is a versatile recording artist who performs music of many genres including dancehall, reggae, and pop. His captivating music showcases creativity, depth and lyrical powers.

Background

With roots in Kingston, Jamaica, Anthony ‘ASG’ Grant began singing at a very young age. He vividly remembers being a part of the school choir and in 2002 he was a member of a group that performed for Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Jamaica. Starting his tertiary education at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. Grant migrated to the US in 2011 having gained a scholarship at Mckendree University through another passion of his football. He later moved on to Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a BA of science in Geography with a minor in Environmental Science. After college, Grant went on to play professional soccer for the Richmond Kickers of United Soccer League Championship (USL). He also played with the Syracuse Silver Knights, Kansas City Comets and the St Louis Ambush of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL).

Musical Journey

Grant kicked off his musical career back in 2014. Initially as a producer and composer. However, his first official project wasn’t released until 2016, called Nocturnal Creature Riddim. He then moved on to release his sophomore effort, The Work Medz Riddim. It featured a host of artist such as dancehall sensation Blak Ryno, Xyclone, Onsoundmynd, Devin D Dhakta, Artik ColdHearted. In 2019, he started his career as an artist with the release of a song called, “Love It’. He quickly followed up with “Tonight”. Since, he has moved on to release a myriad of songs such as “We Run the Night”, “Good time”, “This Summer”, “Invincible”, “I Wish You Were Mine”, “Better Man”, “Fake”, “Vibe With Me”, “Crème De La Creme”, “Stronger”, and “Chosen”.
