Empress Aniya’s Coronation
Hailing from Toronto’s East end and born to hard working parents of island descend is creativity at its best Empress Aniya. Aniya is a strong mind rooted yet free spirited, kind and creative independent artiste and individual. She is the only daughter to her mother and 3 to her father. Empress started recording in 2012 officially but took a brake to further her studies in College but says she couldn’t keep ignoring her calling and is here as Aniya. Empress Aniya, is a loving grandchild to her grandmother from Barbados. The Empress from the East as she is usually referenced as, makes music of all genres but mainly reggae and she has over the past years made tremendous breakthrough in and around the underground scene musically.
She has countless amount of great songs that can be found on most major platforms such as iTunes Spotify and YouTube. Empress Aniya’s music is different because of the melodic melodies harmonies and lyrical diversity. Her ranges makes every body of work she is featured on prolific, relatable and enjoyable to the soul and ear of the listener. Being of island descendants she says she knows very much what struggle is as she herself is striving and surviving to make it better for her family, friends inner to outer city ward youths and surroundings by continuing to introduce herself and her music to the world. We expect great things in the future from our communities upcoming artist Empress Aniya as she is always expanding musically so that her style and musical approach is precise with timing and releasing of her songs.
