Di Chosen Jah Frozen

Jah Frozen, born Noel Earl Davey Jr in 1991 in Kingston, Jamaica, was destined for music. Growing up in Stony Hill and Waterhouse, he was immersed in the sound of rehearsals as his father, Noel Davey, played keyboards for legendary acts including The Wailers, The Abyssinians, Black Uhuru, John Holt, the Marley Brothers, and Mystic Revealers.

A natural talent, Jah Frozen began playing piano at just five years old. While attending Calabar High School, he quickly made a name for himself as a producer. Together with his father and younger brother, he founded Still Freezing Records, creating powerful rhythms that continue to resonate across the island and beyond.

After high school, he studied at the University of Technology, where new experiences and inspiring people encouraged him to write music that is positive, conscious, and uplifting. An eclectic artist who pours his heart and soul into every track, Jah Frozen often opens his songs with his signature slogan: “Nothing is Normal.” His music blends roots reggae with dancehall and hip-hop fusion, creating a sound that elevates the minds of both younger and older generations.

His single “Fly Like Birds,” released on Still Freezing Records, received strong acclaim both locally and internationally. In 2020, he collaborated with Addis Records from Switzerland on the well-received singles “Rocky Road” and “For-i-Va.” In 2022, Evidence Music invited him to perform both tracks at the prestigious Mixing Lab Studio. His notable performances also include his debut at the Kansas City Jerk Festival in 2019.

In 2026, Jah Frozen released a powerful EP ‘Blue Mountain’ featuring Natty King, produced by Big Tunes Entertainment. With an extensive music library, a dedicated fan base, and strong family support behind him, Jah Frozen continues to build a timeless career as a reggae artist with genuine staying power.

Looking ahead, he plans to release more singles in 2026 while targeting major global festival circuits and collaborations with reggae heavyweights.
