Recording artiste and ‘Maroon Emperor’ LA Lewis plans to “breathe back life” into the 2024 staging of Sting with a “high energy” performance and a $5-million giveaway to the “poor people” at the event.

“I am gonna be working Sting because mi see dem [promoters of Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert] put dem date near Sting like dem waah flop Sting and Sting is a show fi poor people. Me personally ago put up $5 million because mi ago show Kartel seh mi ago draw more crowd ova Sting dan wah him ago draw a fi him show. If dat nuh happen, mi run weh from Jamaica [and] gi Kartel $30 million,”

I am gonna give back to Sting what they give to nuff artistes. Suh, starting at 9 p.m., every hour pon di hour, mi a gi weh at least two or three hundred thousand [dollar] to di poor people dem [randomly] until the $5 million done,” he added.

The Dem Fraid a Mi artiste, who was recently confirmed for Sting, said his latest single, Feel Nice “is trending more than Kartel songs” and will be one of the major singles he’ll use to rile up a “high energy” for the Sting patrons.Sting’s former promoter, Isaiah Laing, who is still co-piloting the event with his son Tahheer, said Lewis’ songs “a guh hawd”.
