Robbie Rule Begins His Reign
Growing up in the community of Bamboo in St. Ann, he attended Bamboo All Age School, where his passion for music emerged.
Steveroy Scott, born in St. Ann, Jamaica, on October 30, 1984, is more popularly known as Robbie Rule, a Reggae and Dancehall artist. In addition to his music career, Robbie Rule serves as a firefighter in the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
Growing up in the community of Bamboo in St. Ann, he attended Bamboo All Age School, where his passion for music emerged. With a keen ear for melodies, Robbie learned songs from his surroundings and began performing them for friends and family, infusing his own lyrical creativity into each rendition.Exposed to Jamaica’s vibrant sound system culture from a young age, Robbie Rule developed his skills further while attending Fern Court High School, where he excelled academically, earning seven CXC subjects.He later pursued studies in building construction at Brown’s Town Community College. However, his love for music led him to explore different avenues,including joining a popular sound system as an early warm selector in his community.Robbie Rule’s talent on the microphone and his ability to keep audiences engaged earned him recognition within his community.He recorded his first professional single, “I Pray,” in 2007 on the Cool Breeze record label, marking the beginning of his professional music journey. Robbie Rule’s dedication to his craft led him to various studios, where he gained valuable experience and collaborated with different producers.In 2015, Robbie Rule signed his first record deal with American-based producer Rob Letcher, releasing a seven-track EP titled “THIS IS A WARNING” under the Addiowave and Jah Youth Productions labels.
This EP garnered attention internationally, paving the way for collaborations with producers such as Johnny Roxx, Ruxell, and Catchy Records Production. Robbie Rule’s music has reached audiences worldwide, with singles like “Number One Mama,” “Safe Again,” “Prayer Time,” “Be Wise,” “Elevate,” and “Pray Fi Mi Friends”available on major online platforms. He has showcased his talent at numerous stage shows and talent events across Jamaica, including the Roots Festival, Rebel Salute, where he was handpicked by Tony Rebel to perform in 2020.Continuing to evolve as an artist, Robbie Rule remains dedicated to his music career, with upcoming shows and new releases on the horizon.
