Magnum Follow Ur Sound

In the year’s 2nd edition of the Magnum Follow Ur Sound series, patrons were treated to a number of well contested (if not entertaining) clashes between sound systems and special guest selectors. Clashes such the media personality square-off between Rohan Daley and Oral Tracey and the all female battle between Yumi Hi Power and Miss Boss Lady threatened (when they were first announced) to become gimmicky however those encounters were comparatively the most absorbing ones of the night with Yumi Hi Power and Rohan Daley coming out with fairly decisive victories respectively. The guest artistes clash between Wickerman, Nitchie Kutchie and Major Mackerel saw Nitchie emerging as the champ with the same type of flourish that the singer exuded throughout his career. The grand finale had Red Heat, Crazy Chris, King Ghetto, and Silverhawk squaring up. Everything got off to strong start and with superb selections across the board. Unfortunately at some point the quality disintegrated to a stage where the whole contest ended prematurely without a clear winner between the five main contestants. Despite the ending however this concept deserves the support from the masses hopefully Ennis, Magnum and rest of the promotion team can bring ‘Follow Ur Sound’ into the new year.
