BAYTRONICS: CES 2020 HIGHLIGHTS
This year’s top technology at CES 2020 you need to be in the know about.
The Las Vegas Convention Center was wall to wall packed with goodies at the Consumer Electronic Show that commenced earlier this month. Playing out over three days, the event showcased thousands of technologies. Some of the best brands taking center stage, BAYTRONICS dug right in. Many companies tried to bridge the gap across industries by applying their respective technologies to new scenarios.
Sony was the most notable, opting to display the Vision-S electric car prototype instead of the expected PlayStation 5. An interesting choice since the gaming console has already been teased at late last year. Now that’s impressive. Is Sony setting the stage to compete in the automotive industry? They could be.
This year CES 2020 did not disappoint across all the 36 product category lineup. To save you some time, BAYTRONICS braved the brunt of the tech overload. Here are our top picks for best games, gadgets and gear emerging out of CES 2020.
Alienware Concept UFO
Alienware and Dell arrived to push buttons, kicking off our list. Their polished Alienware Concept UFO handheld game is a PC, but for your hands. Running the Windows 10 OS on a 8 inch tablet display, the Concept UFO tries to maximize functionality and productivity with all the benefits of a gaming machine.
The detachable side controller pieces combine to make a smaller handheld controller. Not unlike the Nintendo Switch, the Concept UFO comes fully equipped with a kickstand and docking options. The Concept UFO is still a prototype so memory, ergonomics, battery life and performance specifics will be available on release. Look out for the Alienware Concept UFO to hit stores mid to late 2020.
Withings ScanWatch
Health is indeed wealth, the more information available to you about your body the better. Smart watches in particular are in a constant push to pioneer wearable health technologies. Withings ScanWatch may have inched ahead at CES 2020. Showcasing their ScanWatch turned heads when they revealed the Deep Sleep Analysis mode.
The Withings ScanWatch can detect sleep apnea. Making it the first of it’s kind. Sleep apnea can lead to serious complications and the ScanWatch wants to prevent that. Fitbit had promised this feature in the past but have yet to implement it. The old adage about the birds and worms. I’d think so.
MSI MEG Aegis Ti5
MSI MEG Aegis TI5 went full robot with their stylish robotic head inspired gaming desktop. Within its cerebral construct lies a Intel Core i9 processor, Nvidia 2080 Ti graphics and a colossal 128GB RAM. Accompanied by built-in 5G Wireless it’s a nod to consumers wanting some future proofing.
To get the best out of all the components MSI opted with the Silent Storm cooling system. GPU, CPU, PSU and VRM all stay seperate giving this PC a double stamp of cool. Outside is very MSI, boasting their signature OLED display. The knob doubles as a monitor and performance control unit. You can expect the MSI MEG Aegis TI5 to hit shelves mid 2020.
