What’s good Triple G family? BAYTRONICS at it again with this week’s installment of gadgets you need to be in the know about. Samsung lets loose it’s flagship Galaxy S20 line of phones with near picture perfect specs, PlayStation 4 adds 2 new buttons with new available DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment and Fujifilm, changing the game with a brand new take on the iconic X100.

Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+

Flagship season for Samsung consumers as the tech company unveiled the successors to the Galaxy S10 series, the brand new Galaxy S20 line-up. Upping the stakes by improving upon popular customer feedback, Samsung has opted for improved battery life, better screens and a camera on par with the likes of Apple iPhones and the Google Pixel series of phones.

The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ sport 6.2 and 6.7 inch displays respectively. 120 Hertz Quad HD OLED screens ensure lightning fast responsiveness and refresh rates providing seemlesss user experiences. Twice as sensitive to touch, the Ultrasonic Fingerprint reader underneath the display has seen moderate improvements. Opting to go for more power to supply all these new improvements, Samsung went with a 4000 mAh battery for the Galaxy S20 and a 4500 mAh battery for the more powerful Galaxy S20+.

As expected of any premium phone these days, the Galaxy S20s have a whopping 12GB of RAM, running the reliable Snapdragon 865. Expandable storage is available up to 1 terabyte (1TB) of data on the already large 128GB built in memory. The camera comes equipped with a 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto lense, and a 12MP wide-angle lense. The plus version comes equipped with an additional depth sensor. I can imagine these will enable some capable zoom photography. Kudos Samsung. We are here for it.

DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment

Do you even game bro? Sony’s DuaShock 4 Back Button Attachment is here. Versatile and convenient, the attachment is for the avid gamer. Be it you play competitively or online scoping noobs, this attachment is sure to come in handy. Compact in its design it adds 2 additional buttons as you may need them. The attachment allows for easy button mapping of gamepad buttons in a intuitive manner.

Not a new technology by any stretch, Sony simply incorporated a 3rd party accessory for paying customers. A staple for fast paced games, it comes equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a OLED screen to show what buttons are currently mapped to the attachment. There are 3 available profiles to have preset buttons ready for snap situations. This bad boy is listed on the Sony PlayStation Store for just under 30 USD.

Fujifilm X100V

So I know this will be considered a controversial stance but Fujifilm’s X100 can be considered the most influential camera of the 2010s. I can hear the keystrokes now, but before you crucify me hear me out. From the hybrid viewfinder system, to the shift in focus from “size doesn’t matter” to simple aspects like design. The X100 somewhat broke the Cannon/Nikkon stranglehold on the camera scene.

Now it’s almost a decade later and here we have the new and improved Fujifilm X100V. Fixing almost all of the hot mess quirks of its predecessor it comes equipped with an assortment of features.

For additional flexibility the touchscreen can now be tilted an improvement over the less versatile X100. Introducing a revamped auto focus, a 26.1MP APS-C X Trans CMOS 4 sensor, 4k/30fps capabilities and a improved electronic viewfinder (EVF) gives hope to this camera being a staple travel companion. And least you forget it’s retro fittings giving it a almost rustic charm. It is pricey, it’s delicate, it’s everything cameras used to be and everything they can be all in one package.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

Well this is awkward. The Galaxy S20 gets a double feature since on paper it’s pretty much a double feature. The camera on the Galaxy S20 Ultra is insane. Quite possibly the best camera on paper out right now the Galaxy S20 Ultra boast a quad camera set-up with a 108MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra wide lense, a depth sensor and additionally a “Space Zoom” feature, a 48MP 10X hybrid optic telephoto lense where special placing of mirrors give you exceptional 100 times zoom options. I wonder if I can see my house from space?

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is quite similar to the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+, same design with a 6.9 120Hrtz Quad HD OLED display instead. Proving to be one of the largest phones they have ventured to make thus far. It has the best display out right now, although the size nudges it towards the two handed phone category. Samsung opted for a much bigger 5000 mAh battery. Spec wise this phone is identocal to the Galaxy S20s with the additional feature for 5G capability. All in all a beast on paper this phone will undoubtedly translate to great things in hand for those with the cash and itch to stay ahead of the curve.
