IMC 2024 – Another Successful Staging
Our second time being invited to the Island Music Conference was certainly no less interesting or impactful than the first. Primarily held at the Courtleigh Auditorium in Kingston Jamaica, the Island Music Conference, or IMC as it is popularly referred to, had scores of music business executives and professionals congregate in the capital to network and to build solid links that could stand them in good stead for the very near future.

From February 21 – 25, IMC had the likes of industry stalwarts like Mikey Bennett, Vivian Scott Chew, Mya, Wyclef Jean and the chairman of the proceedings Shaggy delivering keynotes and hosting panels that ranged from: Defining Your STYLE, Soundsystem Reach and Relevance and Industry & Gov. Policies/Partnerships For Success to Understanding Playlisting and AI-Artificial Intelligence, Friend or Foe? – a plethora of important topics that should be focused on by people currently existing in the music space and those aspiring to. Solid Agency president Sharon Burke and media consultant Judith Bodley with their team presided over a relatively smooth endeavor the five days of the events. Both should be heartened by the increase in registered attendees as the conference went on with the last day being one of the most well attended in the history of the event. There can only be more surprises in the near future as the Island Music Conference garners momentum as one of the symposiums to look out for music enthusiasts and professionals within its ecosystem.
