Yellostone

On the 3rd of January a very talented YELLOSTONE (born Laton Beans in Clarendon, Jamaica) entered the world. Yellostone spent much of his early years in Douglas Castle, St. Ann before moving with his Mother to live in Connecticut, USA.

Yello was raised by strict Preacher/Evangelist Grandparents and was kept in church heavily, yet he always knew that music was his calling.

While attending Weaver High School in Connecticut
Yello showcased his talents at dances. He began writing songs and recording for producers.

Yello is no newcomer to the reggae and dancehall industry. Like most Reggae / Dancehall artists he eventually got his break selecting music, making dubs and working on sound systems with Busy Signal (formerly Hype Up) playing his specials at major events throughout the international community.

In 2006 he released his first single “Get Mad”. It gained great reviews across Japan, further pushing his rise in the dancehall community.

He later proved that he was the upcoming star everyone had expected during the “Connecticut Music Festival” (2010) which featured many established artists including Bounty Killa, Elephant Man, Mavado and Tarrus Riley.

Yello’s reputation grew as a lyricist and rave performer over the years which eventually caught the ear of Tanto Metro and Devonte who reached out for collaborations “Hey ya hey” (2013) produced by Grammy Award winning duo Sly and Robbie (Taxi Label), “Nuh Wifey” (2013) produced by Collin Bulby York and “Hold me” (2014). All of which had major air play both locally and internationally. Yello followed up that year with “What A Feeling” (2014) featuring Lukie D. and hard hitting “Step Out Pon Dem” (2014).

Yello performed at numerous shows at the turn of 2015 both locally and abroad. Shortly after, he was chosen to perform at the highly televised staging of “Atlanta Jerk Festival” (2017) alongside Reggae legends Inner Circle and Barrington Levy. Also, sharing the stage with Konshens and Christopher Martin, where he received rave reviews.

In 2018 Yellostone is back again, rhyming prolifically over his infectious riddims with energy and guile. The young artist is set to perform at several events throughout this year, carrying himself well into 2019. There’s no doubt he will hold his own performing on the stage of “Busy Signal and Friends Reggae Festival”(2018) in September.

Yellostone is presenting his birthday bash celebration in Clarendon, Jamaica January 3rd where he is scheduled to perform with Tanto Metro, Devonte and Lukie D.
