Spice … Captured Mixtape Release Party
In what must be a shock to most who have heard Grace Hamilton’s music or have had seen her videos, Spice hasn’t had an official album/ major release thus far in her decorated career. From 2000, Spice has seen her star ascend until, critically in 2009 she collaborated with Vybz Kartel to deliver one of the biggest dancehall hit of any era ‘Ramping Shop’. ‘Ramping Shop’ cemented Spice’s place as not only one of the most recognizable faces of dancehall but one of the most talented. The release of the ‘Captured’ mixtape was preceded by the staged social media event of Spice lightening her skin tone for the ‘Black Hypocrisy’ single release leverage her current reality TV status as a part of the Love & Hip Hop franchise. This night was used by Spice to set the record straight about her current label status and the reasoning behind both ‘Captured’ and the rest of the featured songs on the night especially for her local, and international, fan-base who could come out. A quite eventful night for all would spent the the time to come give their collective support to one of the leading lights of the Jamaican music industry.
