It Was Just A Matter Of Time: Protoje Album Listening Sessions

For any artiste, no matter the artform, releasing their work out to the public, has the effect of both relief and anxiety. Relief to finally get the opportunity to share the fruits of their labour with the world and the subsequent anxiety that comes with critique of the project that was revealed to the masses. It is with this knowledge, we at Backayard were humbly honoured to be invited to the listening session of Protoje’s fourth album ” A Matter Of Time”. This album ultimately is an achievement in itself as the each chord and key was set to purpose by each collaborator involved a fact that will be made clear to fans on June 29th, however on this night Protoje gathered all of his closest friends and trusted pundits at the world renowned Anchor studios and shared with them the full album set and arrangement. It was truly a fellowship for music lovers which is a precursor to what I think “A Matter Of Time” will do, bring people together.
