Iron Ibru
Kohanim Records’ artist Ibru has been building serious momentum in the reggae/ dancehall
world lately. Ibru has released a few tracks from his upcoming album, Life Story set to be
released in the summer 2018. Ibru’s releases have gained international traction and has had
videos featured on prominent reggae sites like Reggaeville and Topshelfreggae.com. His songs
have received airplay on both US, Jamaica and international radio stations. Ibru reggae fusion
style appeals to a broad base of reggae and dancehall fans. As his lyrics talks of livety and the
real-life experiences that fans can relate to. Ibru’s recent release called ‘She Nah Leave Mi’, made
the Fiwi Choice’s top ten countdown this month. He is catching the eyes of both dancehall and
reggae fans online, as his online and social media footprint expands.
Ibru songs are released under the Kohanim label based in Florida, which partners with Dre
Swade productions out of Waterhouse. Ibru is not the normal foreign artist, as he has been
working on his craft in Jamaica since 2011. He has work with prominent producers and
engineers in Kingston honing his skills for years. He has earned the credibility of his peers as he
now propels forward with steam. No matter where he goes from here, Ibru never forgets his
humble beginnings as a youth growing up in the Bahamas. He stays true to defending the plight
of the under-privileged youths.
His latest release “Apologize” is a tribute to mama. The song is one that anyone who cares about
their mother can relate to. This song was released April 20 th , 2018 and have receive all positive
ratings and feedback from listeners. The song was recently reviewed by the YouTube vlogger,
Rawpa Crawpa, receiving high praise. The song is receiving some airplay on some of Jamaica’s
radio stations and the video premiered the beginning of May on Hype Tv. Apologize is a definite
hit and Ibru says it is just a taste of things to come. After hearing a sneak peak of a few of the
