International Reggae Day 2017: Global Street Party
International Reggae Day was launched on July 1, 1994 and has been an annual event since 2000. Started by Andrea Davis of Jamaica Arts Holdings, International Reggae Day has over the years expanded celebrations to places like Sao Paulo, Ibiza, Soweto, London, Paris, Beijing, Singapore and Madrid. This year in Kingston, a street dance was planned and was the main attraction of a day which also included skateboard and BMX bike demos from sponsors Skateboard Palace and BMX as well as the IRD Digital Reggae Art Exhibit, Creative Kingston Village with booths and outside broadcasts from participating media (Power 106 | Bess FM | Roots FM | IRIE FM |Mega Jamz).
